News & Events

St Anne's enjoys working hard and playing hard together as a church family. Therefore there are regular events for the family to get involved in which are listed below and on the left. Weekly newsletter items will also be posted below to give an overall feel of what is happening at our church.

Items for the Julian Trust can be placed in the basket at the back of church please. specifically requested are: UHT milk, tinned tomatoes, tinned tuna, squash, tinned custard, margarine and washing powder. Your donations will be greatly appreciated in helping the charity to assist Bristol's homeless & rough sleepers.

 

Upcoming Events.

The “St Anne’s Shed” (our churchyard working party) meets every Monday @ 1.30pm

'What If Minis' are recruiting for their new Christmas production: 'Rudolph's Christmas Adventure!' They would love new children to join the group for ages 4 to 11. They meet on Saturday mornings in the Orchard Rooms. If interested more information and contact details are on Facebook: @whatifminis.

Sunday 4th November - Join us at 10.30am for our monthly Celebrate service at UCLG, which this month includes a baptism, with Chris Spencer speaking.

Sunday 11th November - Join us at 10.30am for our Remembrance Service at St Anne's. 

Also on Sunday 11th November, at 3.00pm UCLG will hold their Remembrance Parade and service

Tuesday November 13th 10.30am KRASH Club in the Orchard Rooms.

Tuesday November 13th 7.30pm 'Hungry for God' in the Orchard Rooms. The evening has a relaxed and joyous atmosphere so come along to see what happens and meet & worship with other church members you may not see very often. Please speak with Bruce to find out more.

Thursday November 15th 10.30am Cake 'n Shake in the Orchard Rooms.

Saturday November 17th: 11am - 2.30pm Winter Fayre at UCLG.

Tuesday November 20th: from 10.00am Coffee & Chat in the Church Hall.

Wednesday November 21st: 2.00pm Mothers' Union meeting, in the Church Hall.

This month sees another Men's Evening meeting with a delicious meal and an interesting talk. This is being held at the Oldland Village Club on Wednesday 21st November at 7.30pm. The talk entitled "Christians at Work: Not Rocket Science" is sure to go down (or should that be up?) well especially as we will be hearing from 3 of our own church members Andy, Chris and Steve. This will be popular so get your ticket as soon as possible - available from Sunday 4th November - cost £12.50 each. Book with Steve Hemmings when you see him or email: stvhmmngs@gmail.com.

Friday 23rd November (12 noon - 12 midnight): 12 Hour Prayer Event in Prayer Room. As Christmas approaches we need to pray for any guests to Carol Services etc. There will be an opportunity to book in for an hour - alone or with others - to pray.

Tuesday November 27th: KRASH Club 10.30am in the Orchard Rooms.

 

ADVANCE NOTICE:

What If Pantomime - Robin Hood and The Babes in the Wood.  From the title it seems that we are to get two for the price of one! Yes, the What If Production Group pantomime is making a welcome return and will be running on December 13, 14 and 15 at 7.30pm with a 2.30pm matinee on Dec 15. Once again it will be staged at Sir Bernard Lovell Academy and tickets at £8 each or 4 for £30 are now available at www.wipg.org.uk or see Izzy Brown.
